Hey guys. Has anyone had a caliper rub the disc? When the brakes warm up the caliper seems to rub the disc. it makes a clicking sound. At first I thought it was the wheel bearing . but looking closer it seems to be the caliper. has anyone rebuilt One before? I'm guessing it shouldn't be that hard. is there anything I should lookout for?

it could be a warped disc, pushing the brake pad onto the piston as it revolves, this would make a clicking sound.
get the front wheel off the floor and spin the front wheel, see if the disc is true by holding a screwdriver against the fork leg, so it just touches the disc, then spin the wheel, see if the disc touches all the way round , or just in one place.

    what bike is it?

unless you know to the contrary, assume the calipers and master cylinders haven't been refurbished for 30 years!

Suggest you make those jobs a priority

Do a search on those topics and you will find a "how to"

I plan on it! BTW does anyone know what front master with flat handlebars will work? I made my own bars and the master is tilted. I want to just do it now.
