    Just got a 1982 maxim 550 and I'm new to bikes might need help with wiring previous owner did some crappy wiring jobs and the bike wont start

    Thats funny. Im in Utah. I have a '81 Maxim XJ550 that I bought last week.
    The previous guy "bobbed" it out and the wiring is like a spaghetti bowl. real mess. Im fighting carbs on this end.

    I'm in South Weber. I have 3 XJ1100 - two running one in parts getting put back together and an XS1100. I'm getting the XS ready to do a trip to a rally in Colorado next month.
