carb rebuild

    After a carb rebuild has been done, and replaced in the bike, the prime fuel position is set. How long would it take to fill the carbs enough to start bike and return it to the on position. Just wondered as i dont want to flood carbs. Thanks.

    Should only take a minute or so, max. However, if the carbs have been cleaned and rebuilt properly the carbs should not flood. If they do you either need to go back in and sort out the float valve pin(s) or install an inline shut off untill you decide to break the carbs down again.

    If the carbs were done right, you could forget and leave it on PRI for a couple of weeks without anything bad happening.

    BUT that assumes the float valves are working correctly.
