    Nah, the West Aussies went to Hondas many years back. They racked up a lot of kms on those XJs.

    Just as a point of interest ,the NSW(a state in Australia ) Police force are in the process of changing their ceremonial/ pursuit bikes to FJR 1300,s Wont be trying to outrun them!!.............

    Finally located a genuine Yamaha "mudflap" and have gotten hold of an old silver on black plate that will match the bike.

    (Only problem is I have to pay to have it "reissued" as a personalised plate.)

    Wow... I can't imagine the temptation to use those lights to prank friends into thinking you're pulling them over.

    These are really some of the best looking XJ's made, if not THE best XJ's made, in my opinion. Love these old police bikes.

    Hi Guys,

    A have an XJ650P in my Collection. They were quite popular with the Police here in Hong Kong in the mid-1980s, and I even remember them being used in HK and Macau in the early-1990s. They were superseded by the CBX750P.
