Going to be doing a valve clearance check next week and had a hypothetical question:

So standard metric blade sizes are (mm): 0.04, 0.05, 0.06, 0.07, 0.08, 0.09, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20, 0.25, 0.30, etc. Intake valve spec is 0.11mm-0.15mm. So if a 0.10mm blade fits thru, and the 0.15mm does not, it means I am anywhere between 0.101mm and 0.149mm; how do I know if its in spec (.101 thru .109 is technically out of spec, right)?

I am probably thinking too 'minute' but would like to hear your comments, thanks!

Part of the reason I use a SAE set.

    However, 0.05 stacked with 0.06 = 0.11.

You can stack up blades. Like, stack up .05 and .06 to get .11 -- if it still fits, then stack .05 and .07. Make sense?
