    You rock, I've been trying to brainstorm ideas on how to make something like this to hold an old ALICE rucksack as well as act as a backrest. Great set of instructions that should be easy to follow, thanks a lot.

    That is pretty good, I'll probably do that too. I like the luggage rack though, I wonder if there are plans for the whole combo somewhere?

    I have a backrest for my 1982 XJ650RJ that is just sitting in my garage. I will probably not need it.

    I am sure you will find that it is one of the universal style backrests.
    The factory did not offer one for the 650 Seca
