    looking for someone local who could possibly take a newbie under their wing and help me get a bike i love to run. new to motorcycles, but always been a fan. got myself a '81 650 Maxim. having a hard time locating parts and finding out why she wont run. I think im in over my head. 8O

    I hate to say it, but if the carbs were off and the air intake to air box boots are missing....chances are good that they monkeyed around with who knows what!?

    I live two hours north of Atlanta up 441 near the NC border. I have all of the tools and such needed to fix our bikes and I have come up with a lot of places to get parts and pieces.

    I am just at a point where I need ONE MORE thing fixed and I will be all done. Let me know if I can help in anyway as I am gradually progressing from the ranks of newbie.
