Jumping out of second gear

    Just took my xj750 for a run, it purrs like a kitten,but......now it's jumping out of second gear feels like it 's not meshing properly. removed selector cover but can't see anything out of the ordinary....Any ideas ???? has this happened to anyone ???? thanks

    all the time or only with hard acceleration ?

    My 750 also does this but only under hard acceleration I just make sure i hold the selector up for a second longer then normal and it stays in just fine.
