Im planning on stripping it down and making a bobber out of it, would this be a good bike for that purpose?

rayray welcome to the forum. Just do a search on bobber, several threads have been done on this. Read them and maybe contact the poster and go from there.
Doing a bobber, from what I've read does require a certain amount of fabricating as well as mechanical and electrical skills, what is your background?
Also, it is a good idea to make sure that the bike is in fairly good running order, compression, valves, carbs etc before you tear it apart and strip it down.
Make the engine run well, then go to town on the build.
    Just my two cents.
