Hey guys, Is there anywhere in Australia to get shims?
Just checked my clearances and all are pretty tight.
    Cheers

Either Volvo or Saab has the same shims - FYI

    Cheers guys.
am i right to say that the clearances will get small as they wear?
a few of mine are at .11 . or should they get a larger gap when worn?
also are they the 24mm diameter?

John, What bike do you have? that will determine the shim diameter....

Clearances will get tighter as the valve recesses into the head. the bucket will get closer to the cam, so the adjuster pad (shim) will need to be replaced with a thinner one to regain correct clearance between the pad and the cam lobe.

They should be the 29mm shims that we all use then. The xj600 secaII being the oddball that uses the smaller shims (there's probably other later ones that use the smaller shims, too............)

Not counting the tiny ones for the Maxim X's.
