The progressive packages contains Series 14 dampeners(black) and springs(chrome) and new springs for the forks.
Did sacrifice some upgrade due to color choice (would have gone with the 412 otherwise).
But with the discount offered over at JC motors I just had to take it.

Only 4 months until next season starts!

I have a set of the Chrome Progressive 412's I never used on anything. Curious to find out how you like them when you get them on.

how much WAS that deal? the 412's seem to be a bit pricey.
I also ordered the front springs, new fork seals and dust covers. Can't wait to get them in and everything redone on the front end.
I really want to go with the rear upgrade, but I don't want to spend $500+ on it.

I paid $208 for the fork springs, rear springs and dampeners. (a bit more expensive in the end with shipping over seas and the customs over here, so say a total of $300 for me here in Sweden)

    NOTE! I didn't buy the 412, I bought the 14-1282b dampener with 1353c springs.

Thanks! I read your message and immediately went and got everything. Black dampeners and black springs for an awesome price. I already ordered my front springs a couple of weeks ago not thinking about the holiday deals. Winter is definitely the time to buy parts.

What bike do you have? I couldn't see any black springs listed for the 14-series to my '82 550 Seca..

I have an '82 XJ650 Seca. When I searched the part name you provided on the JC site without the "Chrome" in the name, it came up with chrome and black, same measurements and same description.
If they come and are too long, i'll send them back and let you know. I think they are going to work though.

you're going to love the difference thefork springs make. when you pull the old ones out, you'll be like "well thats a waste of 70$, they look exactly the same!!" but then when you get back on and ride again, you'll be quite happy you spent the money.

now i just gotta pony up and get some progressive rears!!
