    GET A BOOK.

This is something you DO NOT want to do "by the seat of your pants." Only grief will follow. There are a lot of little details that are NOT immediately obvious; but failure to attend to them could lead to a very short life for that motor.

    Seriously.

Pays for itself the first time you use it.
    Comprehensive.
    Includes OWNERS Manual.
    Divided into Sections.
    Specs.
    How-to's.
    Leaves nothing unexplained.

with all due respect, it can pay for itself much cheaper 93 bucks for (factory manual) is highway robery my bike cost three hundred bucks intially and lotsa elbow grease, and another 60 for head gasket. Keep searchin online and go to yamaha store dealer, nice people and are willing to print diagrams and give info if you just go in be cool and BS with them. Good luck Bro it'll b alright, PEACE

I wouldn't want to tell you how to do something shady on this fine forum, but...let's just say I know a guy who says the manuals are out there, for free, in pdf form. I have, I mean this guy has, the "Haynes" manual on his phone, for crying out loud. You ever downloaded a movie? Well, there ya go, homeslice.

Edit: Oh, and for the love of tuning forks, let's make sure he is asking about "head" bolts and not the valve cover.

Hope I don't ruffle any ones feathers, but... to be accurate, the fasteners which secure the head are "acorn nuts", not bolts.
