Hey guys. I've been lurking around the site for the past week and figured it was time to join.

Last Tuesday I picked up a 1982 XJ750 for $400 on Craigslist. Runs and drives, just in a bit of rough shape. But doesn't matter. Already started tearing it down :D

Little background on myself. I'm 23 years old and this will be my first bike. All my friend's have motorcycles and, as it do often does, I caught the bug. I'm an ASE Certified automotive technician and pretty mechanically inclined. I plan on turning my bike into a softtail bobber I guess you'd call it.

Once I get a chance to upload my pictures to photobucket I'll post some pictures of my bike when I got it, where it is now, and where I want to go with it soon. This site has been very informative so far and I'm looking forward to having fun with this winter project!

Welcome. Seca or Maxim? Figure it may be a Maxim since you're going bobber with it.
