I've got quite a list for the Venture:

The starter is weak, especially hot. Upgraded starter from newer model.
Fuel mileage is poor. Going to lower jet needles a bit.
    Repair cruise control.
Brake pads have worn a slot in rear caliper. Have welded and machine back.
Fluid level sensor on rear master cylinder is bad - replace.
Noticed wiring for power point broken - repair.
    Install a windshield vent.
    Replace steering bearings.
One of the air horns is weak - repair or replace.

Ha ha "THIS" winter? She's getting tore down and completely rebuilt. New gaskets everywhere (if possible and within the budget). Carbs will be cleaned again and new seals will be installed. The tank will be drained and lined. New brake lines and paint, paint, paint! Seat will be hacked and reupholstered, and hopefully I can finally stop worrying about my bikes bucket list. Can't wait.

    Hey all!

I'm a little bit late on the topic, but I decided that all last week-end.

It all began by a simple gaz tank repair with Por-15 motorcycle gaz tank repair kit. But then, in the excitement of the situation, I decided to get my motor out to change rings and gasket, to check valves, and to repaint the motor. I'll do some work on my clutch to (it began to slip at high RPM).

Already have the carbs pulled and plan on giving those a full servicing. Wife and I are doing our own sort of carb clinic, with her cleaning the carbs from her '70 CB350. We're both new to motorcycles so it'll be a learning experience.

Also looking to give the bike a pretty good aesthetic makeover, starting with paint for the tank - which needs a bad liner job removed - and fenders and reshaping/reupholstering the seat. (wife promised to do this which should save me some $$). Will also be crafting something to take the place of the missing right side panel (currently sheet metal).

If I get ambitious enough or become unemployed I'll be stripping and polishing the engine covers as well.
