I was just thinking this morning of something I found back years ago and never really brought it up here.

When you buy a new bike, ALWAYS check under the seat. There's a little plastic cover thing (secret stash) and people could possibly put money in there. I've had a couple REALLY old ownership's so far.

    Happy hunting!

I bought a used Thunderbird "Fila" edition once. There was like, a change holder between the console and the ashtray. I noticed it wasn't attached, you could just pick it up out of the console area. Underneath, there was a section of carpet cut out in the shape of a gun. Alas, the gun wasn't there.

Also, I had a Crown Vic police interceptor. I replaced the windshield wiper motor. When I did that, I found discharged shell casings. Some of them damaged, like they'd exploded! I assume some cop put bullets on the dash, they slipped down into the vents, and popped off from the heat of the engine at some point. Must have been a little startling:)

Mine had the tool kit and I added my little book to keep track of what I've done to it.

What I found that I didn't expect was the chain and lock tucked in (the other) secrete compartment.

    Chris.
