Have you guys seen this back rest on ebay for a xj700. I know they are rare but holy over priced instruments of comfort batman. Seems a bit over priced to me. Saw one sell for around 175 last week.E-bay

I've been looking at those for a long time, and have never seen one go for that. Something really looks suspicious ... only ONE bidder who's bid went progressively from $300 to $500 over the course of 5 minutes. And the starting bid was only $50!

As much as I'd like one, I have long felt they are way overvalued ... but this one takes the cake. Very fishy indeed.

EDIT: Just checked a little further, and it appears this is the first item this seller has ever sold.

I have one on my 86 xj700 and it makes all the differance in looks. I could have bought a 85 xj700 w/out most of engine for 400.00 last year(for parts). But I was to cheap.

That is one very suspicious auction - I'll be reporting that - certainly seems like bid stacking to me. Price is way out of line, too many bids, too short a time....

that is what they quite regurally go for. I got a package of maxim x stuff and paid 140 for it and the rest didn't have a pad. They are pricey because they are soooo hard to find. I believe my dad is keeping his and putting it on his x. Man did he do a job and a half on that bike, it's beautiful
