Thank lots to all you that helped and answers stupid? My bike I only heard fire up once before it just refused to run is running like a top 10k all day long (9600) it was a 400 Buck project to be my 1st bike to ride on the street.

Its red in color with dented tank and pipes.

Motors been gone through for the normal things it needs. Plugs Carb rebuild and so on I found out the PO rebuilt the carbs before I got it and just never cared bout flushing it out and he didn't know what righty tighty means on Carb bowl so they don't leak makeing a big problem on and in bike. After 3 weeks of days off I got all reworked.

Next is the wonderful life of stop (brake work) and great life of led tail light and turns for safer night rides....

I did go from the stupid custom air box to stock I no someone wanted a pic of it And give me time I will

However I got problems Still idle around 1k is a little laggy but if you jump it to 11 12 hundred its fine. Should this be a worry or not really?
Lastly turn signal lights on dash both light up left hand side even if you use the right any ideas..
Lastly lastly for now Thank again to Fitz and rick and w few others for the help before my book came in...

Congrats on getting it running. Idle should be 1050~1100. Brakes are fun.

Don't assume that aftermarket LED turn signals will be brighter than stock. Virtually all of them that I've seen in use have been nearly invisible in bright sunlight.

Like I said; generally ineffective in bright sunlight.

Using LED turn signals won't give you any "extra" charging system capacity, how often are turn signals drawing current?

If you switch to other-than-stock bulbs, you will lose your self-cancelling feature unless you want to do some engineering.

Adding fog lights or driving lights WILL require some re-engineering, definitely some re-wiring and additional relay(s) as well as pushing your system to its limit. It CAN be done, but it has to be done carefully and done right or you'll be frying wires.

Try a simple plug-n-play upgrade: get rid of that hokey stock sealed-beam headlight and fit an H4 halogen conversion kit. Makes a major difference.

That's great news Swe-eet! Nice to hear you're on track.

Just keeping my battery topped off, and fully charging it occasionally seems to solve any issues. When I don't ride for a while, it needs a charge.

For your lopey idle, I would suspect your pilot circuits aren't equal, or your synch is off a little. Under varying conditions, like cold air, moist air, etc. you can expect a little idle variation, but it should settle into a steady rhythm once you have all 4 carbs playing fair. Just an FYI I switched from standard NGK plugs to E3's and now the 550 will idle (and stay running) as low as 750rpms, I thought that was interesting since with the NGK's it would die as soon as it dropped below 900. Of course I keep it dialed at 1200rpm's (550 spec).

I have aftermarket signals, but I went with icandescent, I was concerned about the switch to LED's. So I went with 'easy.'

Yep, Len has the H4 kits. I recommend the "Euro" spec Hella, I have one in my '81.

Well I can idle my bike down very low bit to get that nice sweet smooth sound 1100-1200 gives my What I'm looking for. I do think a high idle where I live is better due to hills and torquey needs

But y the euro spec lights fitz

If you have the budget there are LED fog light options. They are spendy, but work at least as well as incandescent bulbs.
