Anyone got suggestions about using non-buckhorn bars an the 650 Maxims?

I have an SR500 and like those bars a lot. They, or something like them would be cool. Cooler yet, if I could find somtehing in black.

What suggestions or photos do y'all have to share?

Most of what I see mentioned on here are clubmans. I am not a big fan of flat bars, so my opinion is not very objective. I prefer the original mini buckhorns that came factory on most of the Maxims.

I'm looking for s set of Bars to fit my 750 Maxim that are not so long.

I pushed the Brake Master as far up as it would go and trimmed some stock off both ends.

The Bars I need have to retain the Stock Master Cylinder and Stainless-wrapped Lines.

Euro bend or Daytona's are ideal IMHO. They won't hit the tank and they allow both cruising or sport position.

Do a search online-you can find multiple lengths and configurations as well as black or chrome.

I guess I'm kinda looking for the style that I see on the stock 650 Seca.

I want to lower my hands and lean just a little more forward. I'm not a fan of clubman, clip-ons, cafe', or straight type bars.

I don't hate these buck horns. Just wanna try a little something different without swapping bikes.

Check out this thread. I put several pics of what amount to 'Daytona's' on my 550. They aren't anything like clubmans, cafe, straight, or 'buck horns.' And I can ride either all the way back or all the way forward through any type of road. Very much like these.

scroll down a few replies to see the pics:

The stock bars on the 650 Seca are very close to the "Euro" bend; the "GP Touring" are a tad more upright with a similar bend.

    Here's BikeMaster's dimensional chart: http://www.bikemaster.com/handlebars.html

I used "Euros" on my 550 Secas:

Take a break from pulling maintenance on the bike, ... and give that garage door a coat of paint!!!

I think I'm liking those. I'll check out the euros.

    Thanks.
