Muchas, muchas gracias!! Excellent pictures! I noticed you cut off the support bracket that goes between the to rails and holds up the stock seat. I've been debating doing that on mine and I wondered about the structural integrity without it. Have you noticed any difference in the way the bike handles without it?

    Thanks again!
    Dean

Hello I have not cut to the tube this to it there. the iron that cuts is the one of the back part but to put another iron plate that holds the battery, since the one of origin the battery was very above. Greetings to all.

Hey Wiz, I hope he's still around. The last post before yours is a month shy of two years old.

I bring this bike up (and the man who built it) I think it's my favorite modified XJ.
He was the first to show us spoked rims.
The bike has a completely cleared-out airbox/battery area which is a striking detail not seen on almost any other bike.
He lists 3 manufacturers of REARSETS for XJ's
He posted a video of his bike with cool music.
And he's not even aware that there's a POD debate.

I'd throw away the black tank protector of course, otherwise *PERFECT*

Well, I set an email reminder last year on this date to remind me to post here today. It's been one year minus a couple hours since my last post, I think I'll do it again next year too.
Don't know if the builder or the bike are still around but this is one of my Top 10 ever builds!
    *EDIT*
Just went back to the first post, it was from June of 2008!!!!!
