Did you use PayPal to pay? File a dispute. They have always taken care of me in situations like you describe.

i know your frustration, sometimes this sh#t happens,. when you walk into a shop, its you and them, 2 people, this way your relying on all the others to give a hoot, posties, couriers etc, good luck

If the sender put tracking on the packages, he should call the usps and follow-up. If he doesn't, and paypal won't help, you can still call ebay/paypal and talk to a LIVE representative. Explain everything, they will look into it and help you resolve it.

I've YET to be dissappointed with calling them. Always helpful.

Don't be afraid to leave neg. feedback if the seller won't help. Just because they want good feedback doesn't mean you HAVE to give it. But, make sure that you do it within the timeframe allowed.

Just to help out - you can add a Briggs & Stratton fuel cut-off valve for $5.00 until you get things sorted. I have 200 E-Bay transactions with nothing lost in the mail.

You can leave negative feedback but if you open a case the seller can delete it saying its offensive. Ebay is not for the buyers its for the sellers. You should never have to track down a package and try to find it. That is the sellers responsibility. I just went thru the same thing bought 3 aquarium heaters brand new none worked. I talked to the seller they sent me a new one not 3 it did not work either. Got in touch with the seller again. They told me they did not need them back and would refund me so i tossed them. A few days later they told me they needed them back they made a mistake told them they were gone. All this was in writing Every email they sent ebay had. I opened a case they responded a few times removed my feedback. They offered me 1/2 what i paid and ebay advised me to take it. Because in their post of the add it says returned items for credit only. Does not matter even with proof what the seller says. I guess ebay is on the sellers side because they pay the fees even if its with your money. The very last letter i got from the seller said they could only offer me 1/2 because they were not making that much profit otherwise. Wasted
a months time. Even other people were complaining in their feedback that bought the same heaters from them not working but leaving neutral feedback instead of negative.

The issue is very common, and there is no obvious "predictor." You CANNOT tell if they are going to fail until they do, which is what makes it such a safety concern. The ONLY way to check them is visual inspection, and then "dig" at the corners with an old boxknife blade to be sure they're still truly stuck on.

Better yet, just replace them, then there's no question. They're not expensive.

I've had good experiences with Ebay and almost every online transaction, but you've got to shop carefully-often ask the seller questions to gauge their response speed and honesty before buying(ie good customer service). Your lost package experience is a new one on me for sure-everything purchased so far takes the shortest distance to me once it has left its origination state-you can tell that by the tracking info.

Like all transactions it's important to know who your dealing with, what their policies are, and what your fallback or insurance is if the deal falls through. PayPal used correctly will fix most issues, and paying with Discovercard is another good way to go-they are very customer or buyer oriented.

Of course when it comes to XJ's if you buy from Chacal (XJ4Ever), your not likely to be disappointed in the parts, service, or shipping-I haven't been.

Your best bet at this point is to keep being the squeaky wheel until you can get it resolved.

He has a 100% good rating and his first shipments were fast , correct , and a great deal . this last set of boxes went through same sort location 4 times and no new info for last 3 weeks . he says be patient they will come . he has not spent hours on phone with usps like i have and they cant find it . at this point he says dont file a claim or leave bad review cause it will hurt his rep , but i dont see him doing anything either .i will wait 30 days ....next week then i will file claim and leave accurate rating on him .....i have been more than fair

Overhauling Rear Brakes isn't really a tough job if the Axle isn't seized and the Brake Unit comes-out without a fight.

Remove the Rust Ridge with a Dremel Tool using a Medium Grit Sanding Barrel.
Remove the Pad Expanding Cam and put it in the Vice.
"Shoe-shine" a smooth new finish on the O-D.
Clean-up the I-D of the Bore where the Expander fits.
    Chamfer** the New Shoes.
Lube the Bore and Expander with Synthetic Waterproof Grease.
    De-glaze the Drum.
    Hand-sand the Drum with 320.
Remove the Smoothed surface by scuffing the Drum with 320 Sandpaper or a File.
