anybody else know more information about these? I remember finding the post stillbill is talking about on craigslist, and called the owner telling him I was highly interested; he would just have to mail 'em and I would pay through paypal. sent the owner an email thirty minutes after our phone conversation and he never replied back. I could call him again I suppose, even though the posting is not online anymore. who else seen this craigslist posting? perhaps the owner himself is here on xjbikes.com... just a shout OUT!!!

FOUND HIM! :D :D and hopefully got a great deal!!

P.S. I got smart enough to do a cross-reference with the few numbers legible in the picture. The numbers on the cardboard pieces do not refer to any type of Yamaha make. And the seller did not seem to know anything about any of the shims; just wanted to get rid of 'em. So obviously not all of these shims will work for Yamaha makes but hoping I get enough to make my $$$ worth.

P.S.S. anybody in need of shims?!? haha

yes it was a very nice grab. roughly 85% of the shims are not for our standard 550, 650, or 750 models however, but rather newer seca 600 and other various yamahas like venture royals, vmax, and royal stars. Also the 25mm diameter shims fit on more popular Hondas and all 3 & 4 cylinder Triumph models. I am going to speculate which sizes I would need for future use since we have 3 bikes at our homestead (my two and my brother's Seca 600) and then decide how to give back to the XJ world by virtue of Dave's shim pool. Its too bad more of them weren't 29mm diameter shims.

p.s. if you are good at guessing how many is in the candy jar, would you have guessed there's over 300 shims in that picture above?!?!
