alright guys i got a little problem, Just got done doing some electrical work on my bike and took it for a cruise yesterday and the engine is running really "high" (not sure how else to explain it) sounds the same as if you jump your bike off a car battery before you get the cables off. any idea what the cause of this might be??

If you just did electrical work, maybe you are now getting a stronger spark? Or have less load on the generator because a corroded contact isn't acting as a resistor? Either way, sounds like a good thing. Turn your idle down and enjoy the improved mileage & horsepower.
