Bolt fell out. Not sure where it came from.

    I started my bike the other day and as it was sitting there idling the bolt pictured below fell onto the ground. I now these are used on the valve cover but all of them are there. Where else are these used?

    That's one of the INNER valve cover bolts; there are four like that and (8) longer ones on the outside corners.

    Those inner bolts go near the center camchain "hump" in the valve cover, two on each side.

    All of the valve cover bolts are in place. Are there any other locations where these are located?

    Looks like you had an extra one laying loose on the engine and you didn't even know...

    I guess when someone tells you that you have a screw loose. You can tell them that it was actually a bolt, and that you found it!
