My names Ian and I bought this bike for a bobber build 8) Honestly 2 weeks ago I was looking to buy a Honda VFR Interceptor (which is a badass sounding bike), but as soon as I realized how awesome a bobber build would be(....and having a cash shortage) I was into it 100%. So, 5 days later me and my friend found 2 cheap bikes on craigslist, and bought them :D

Here are pics of it after I washed it and got all the rust off the first day. It had been sitting outside in the rain for 6 months. So it didnt start..

Here is after I changed the bars (cut an aluminum broom stick in half and polished her up :D
    -de rusted gas tank
-went through and "lightly" cleaned carbs
    -new fuel filter
    - cut off rear frame and took off fenders and lowered the front

Welcome, DO check your rear brake shoes, search on here for rear brake fault to see why I'm not asking or telling, but PLEADING you to do this before riding even round the block...

Have fun, looks like you got some work on your hands

EDIT-: just posted a link in my signature, please look

Just "lightly cleaning" the carbs generally isn't effective.

You need to properly service the carbs, wet-set the float levels and bench sync them.

Then once your valve clearances are in spec, you can do a running vacuum sync, with the YICS blocked.

Yea I was aware of that. I wanted to know that the bike was worth keeping before I put a bunch of time into it. I did take out and clean all the jets, emulsion tubes, floats, needles, diaphrams, and bowls. The only thing I didn't to was break them apart individually. I dont know if that depth qualifies as a "light clean" or not?
