MY GOD!!!!! It must be gold!! I bought a 200Watt variable 220Volt power supply from England it didn't cost that much to send it here. I just bought a book, hard cover, and it didn't cost that much to ship to Canada!!!!

Just so this thread makes sense when the auction is over:

NOS YAMAHA CARB PILOT SCREW PLUG 86 XJ700 4L6-14118-10-00
    Price:
    US $7.50
    Approximately £5.02

    Postage:
US $45.85 (approx. £30.71) USPS Priority Mail International

For that price of shipping he better show up on my doorstep and hand it to me personally.

just an FYI ...RickCoMatic had posted a suggestion on here somewhere using pencil erasers and silicone caulk to plug the pilot screws. havent tried it yet, but I plan on it as soon as i finish up my winter work....

now for my $.02, if you want the metal plugs, and are doing a full resto-fication check with Chacal, or a local hardware store for something.... I just can't justify NOS on those plugs at all!

He's just clueless about how to ship internationally. All he did was go in and say he wanted to ship priority and left it at that. There are other international post options at all the major carriers including USPS. To ship something that small and indestructible even the cheapest method would be fine. Should be around $7 to ship.

I would think any machine shop could whip 4 of those out for next to nothing in expense or labor. Their computerized milling machine could do it in 20 seconds and use almost no stock. Of course still too much $$, but you might find something premade for pennies at a good hardware store that would work.

He better whip my carbs off, find a correct set of HSC33's, clean them, jet them to 750E-II spec, wet set/bench sync then refit them, sync them & colortune them & fit the plugs for that price!!!

And maybe change my engine, final drive & fork oil and air/oil/fuel filters too...

On a serious note though, IMO even the asking price of $7.50/£5 is extortionate for a single plug. And the guy has 27 of them to sell...

Give ya a 50 spot for the pair? haha, it's like those crappy metal shrouded plug caps everyone threw away in the '80s 'cause the first hint of damp & they shorted out or gave your knee a jolt. You seen the price they go for now? Last year saw a pair of long reach advertised in a mag as "needing re-plating but otherwise good" for £75 IIRC

Some things are unobtanium for good reason
