What does the gauges look like for the XJ700 Maxim-X 1985?
Aside from the speed gauge, nothing else works. I don't think it's the original one on the bike. But I'm not sure, I just bought the bike 2 day ago, and I know nothing about it.

should be two gauges of the same size with nice shiny crome housings. The faces should be white. Not sure where to go with the wiring as mine is doing the same thing. At least my lights work though. Just no tach. Hope this helps.

If yours is a Maxim X then there should be a smaller gage between the 2 big ones too.

Speedo on left, smaller water temp gage in the center, tach on the right. the speedo & tach are the same size.

This link is a valuable resource for all X owners, plus the upper right pic shows the correct gages on an X

By the look of the pic, my gauges are not what came with the XJ700.

Yup! I though so, I'll need to find the real deal for it. Probably difficult to find.

It looks like you were trying to use an HTML page instead of one that ends in .jpg or .bmp or .gif.

I just opened up your page, right clicked on the image, clicked on properties, and copied the url address into the forum wrapped in IMG tags.
