Lots of debate on pod filters, do a quick search using "PODS" or "running pods" or similar as a search term (the "SIMPLE MOD MAY SOLVE POD TUNING...." thread is worth a look, it's a bit of a train wreck but lots of info if you pick thru it).

general concencus is to avoid them if you have the airbox to put back in. if you MUST use pods then you need to do more than adjust screws, like change to bigger jets & run velocity stacks (the original airbox rubbers are thought best by those who know)
The pilot screws are just that, they adjust the pilot/idle mixture & not much else (that is over-simplifying it, but all that matters in this case for now)...

Welcome. Hope you stick with the airbox, you'll find it a lot easier to keep the bike running smoothly & the pistons hole-free lol :?

Don't get too disheartened, like I said just search about a bit, it's not IMPOSSIBLE just hard work to get running good on pods & I don't want you to hurt your engine as it seems you're already running very lean. If I can tell you the facts without sugar-coating it, it might save you an engine ;)

Like I say, some people have found using the original airbox rubbers to mount the pods on can help smooth the airflow but you probably will need to up-jet as well to save your engine from burning a piston or four...

Oh no, is there no way you can get it back? :( I really wouldn't advise riding without it if the bike feels like it's running lean (these engines can feel like they run just fine yet still be dangerously lean, so if it *feels* lean too, chances are it's really in the "red-zone" as far as piston temperatures go).

There's some 650's being parted out in the sell/trade/swap area, and if somebody else could confirm, I think the 750 airbox may work too?

Has encontrado un amigo que hable su idioma! Trato de usar traductor Google, tal vez va a funcionar ...

Hope that made some sort of sense, otherwise google-translate has a lot to answer for lol!

Eco, do you know if 650/750 airbox is the same?

Was asking "Eco" (Ecologito I meant, just realised I said echo  ) if he knows, would be easier for you to find a replacement if they are the same...

Sorry to get off track, but have either of you seen the film "vanishing point"? I think I just figured out what the old desert scavenger guy shouts after Kowalski as he drives off. Just figured it'd be something like stay alive or stop or similar, stop alive comes out of google translate as dejar con vida, that kinda sounds like what he says or maybe "mantenerse con vida", ¿sabe usted? (yes I love how the language sounds, wish I could learn!)
