    to mount them on...

ive seen them on a 'full-dress' 750r but i THINK ive seen them on the 900r as well...

ive got a set of tube bars for both bikes as well but these are the mega-cool, everybody wishes they had them, engine guards/case savers...

i THINK id like to put them on my 900r because i dont think its going to be up for sale but if i ever get done playing around with the 750, it WILL be...

    decisions decisions...

Be aware that there at least 2 different versions of these guards, one for the 650RJ's and one for another XJ model(s)..........the holes on the brackets are in different locations, and only line up for specific models.............so ask what they came off of (if the seller knows).

I can't recall for sure, but the engine/model may be stamped onto the back of the guards somewhere......

I have a set for my 650, that supposedly came off a 650, but I haven't "test fit" them yet.

I just went and closely examined them, and I can't find any markings at all which is kind of unusual for Yamaha. They are a bit grubby, maybe it's hiding under dirt.

    Dave, any markings on yours?

Well, as far as I know, these cast aluminum ribbed bars were not a "factory" option..............they were an aftermarket accessory made by The Rack Factory in California............I've seen at least two different versions, one is for the XJ650 models and the center-to-center measurement between the lower flange holes (where a u-bolt is used to secure the bracket around the frame tube) is about 43.10mm (and each hole is about 8mm ID)....these brackets have no markings or identification size stamped on them.

The other version is for the 750 models and is stamped 750S on the back of the upper flange, and the hole spacing is about 35mm with a 7mm hole ID.

There may be other versions lurking out there.

BTW, the Rack Factory is still in business but they no longer make (nor want to discuss) the production or tooling for these bars...........

    CRAP.

I found the marking; a tiny "750S" on the back of the upper flange. And 35mm spacing between 7mm holes. Grrrr...

I may be the one that's out $50, but considering the rarity, probably not.

Dave, measure the spacing between the holes on yours. Maybe we could trade.

Thanks, Len. I'm still going to see if/how they fit.

Mine were at least hidden under the dirt...

I'm gonna test-fit them on the 650 today or tomorrow and if they don't fit then they're for sale.
