-still have a lot of work to do but here's how she sits at the moment. Working on this seat/tail that I've modified from the stock one. Let me know what you think!

You need a new chain and sprockets, big-time.

    Welcome, like the tailpiece yeah.

How's it run with those pod filters? Oh and as you're new-ish to the forums (at least post-wise, been registered longer than me!) I'll direct you to the links below in my signature, regarding rear brake delamination and aged hoses etc :)

EDIT-: and what Fitz said about the C&S too, just noticed that! 8O

Thanks for the advise guys! I have new brakes sitting in the garage and will order c&s pronto. The bike runs a little lean but not too bad with the pods. I have yet to take her out past my driveway because I just got the title and waiting for plate and tags. Want to make sure she's 100% safe before I go tear it up

Cool, might want to keep an eye on the lean running though & maybe consider going up a couple of main jet sizes & shimming the needles, since nothing kills an air cooled motor faster than a lean condition (well, pouring sand in the oil filler a-la "cash for clunkers" aside)

Good call on the sprocket Fitz. Bike looks good, like the tail piece. Might also try a velocity stack between the carb and filter, they help with calming the air turbulence.

I actually bought a stock air box on ebay after reading about everyones troubles with pods. So I do have it laying around but sorry want to keep it if ( or probably when) I do decide to toss the pods - They do look cool in the mean time tho

Good man, you will thank yourself when it comes time to tune up the motor :)

IMO although pods do look OK-ish, they should still be tied to a cross & burned for all the aggro they've caused people over the years!

How do you like your 4 in 1 exhaust? I want one and I want one that sounds mean. Thanks! What brand do you have?

What tips you off on the chain and sprocket condition in the picture? Just a novice here always trying to learn something!

Also another way is pull the chain back and if you see daylight between sprocket and chain time to replace them as a set
