The turkey Buzzards are back here in Ontario so that means its officially spring here in the great white north. So its time to get the bike out of storage. That means kick the wife's car out of the garage and get the bike ready for the season!!!!

Ya we got Turkey Buzzards!! They come up from the States every spring and stay till fall. I don't know how long they have been making the trip but they do it every year. Apparently its because of the big supper highways. The buzzards, according to the biologist, follow the highways up from the south as the pavement on the roads heats up in the spring. So they just follow the highways north looking dead critters. We had five of them up over the house this morning. I told the wife they where looking for her dog!!

Yep, the one thing I really hate that's made its way up here from the US are those damned possums !!! Nasty, snarly, ugly things!! Al they do is snarl all the time! I was sitting out in the bush, turkey hunting, and one wandered by me and it just carried on like a cranky old biker who lost his bike. And fight, you get two of them things together and do they ever go at it and noisy! You would think their was a hundred cats in the yard having brawl. Hate the damn things!

Luckily. possums haven't found their way to Quebec ...maybe they just haven't learned to snarl in French yet!

READ: We live trap possums and then ship them up to Ontario. When that's full we'll send them to Quebec.

Whether that was a typo or not, excellent pun since they are quite literally supper highways to them buzzards, and breakfast roads, also lunch lanes...

Is this why Turkey Point is named Turkey Point?

    Ok, that was damn funny.

Being in N Mi, we get our fair share of buzzards and possums. Buzzards I'm glad for as they clear up lots of road kill, but the possums are a pain. As are deer.
