Any hints as to why the ford is junk? (as per my last post I've found EDIS to be a very good system)

THANKS FOR THE TIP!!! I almost bought one last night.

On this setup, do you have to set the trigger wheel angle exactly? The Ford EDIS must be 90° ahead of the VR sensor when at TDC. Or, can you cout the teeth and set a trigger offset in tunerstudio? I have somewhat already welded the trigger wheel in place, but can be changed. What is your setup? Everything else is set to go on the bike except for this.

I still say there's nothing wrong with EDIS, great system IMO with loads of power & cheap to buy. I'm still waiting for him to explain exactly why it's "junk crap"...

I talked to the guys over diyautotune any decided to purchase the quadspark model. I don't have to rewire as much & I can set the timming by software vs having to set the timming exact on the trigger for edis. They also told me that the edis is not a good choice for engines revving higher than 6,000 rpm. I don't know if this is true? But, I'll take the man's word. I hope to get it by Friday so I'll have the weekend to get this beast finnally started!

Being able to set the timing via software is a good advantage I'll give 'em that much! :) Not sure why it wouldn't be good above 6k but anyway, sounds like you found an easier solution timing & wiring-wise so all's good. Hope the fire-up goes well for you :)
