Hello Everyone! Where have you been all these years!

My name is Jason and live in the Heart of Texas and have just bought a 1981 Seca 750 for 500.00 bucks. I started working at a Yamaha shop in the early eighties at the age of twelve and by the time I graduated high school I had Yamalube in my veins. I was so lucky to have worked on these bikes growing up! My first build was a midnight maxim with a XJ700 tank. What a killer set up! My last bike was a RD200 and that is where it ended. I haven't owned a bike since 1992. Sad I know!! I have finally pulled my head out of #$$.

So, glad I have you guys to reminisce about the best times of my Life!! Looking forward to y'all's comments and suggestions. I have some ideas for my Seca that I can't wait to share them.

    Welcome :)

I have a good idea for some reading material for you, links in my signature on delaminating brakes & old hoses/tires.

Another good thread to spend a few hours reading is chacal's "church of clean" in the supporting vendor area, very useful info in bringing gummed up carbs back from the brink!

Also, bigfitz52 has made some excellent pictorial how-to's on everything from valve clearances to petrooster rebuilds to stripping the clocks to their guts. All good reads...

You going to share some pics with us I hope?

Well not only are we dealing with a echo, we have some guys here that "talk from the shop".. Thats all good! I live just south of Waco but not in Austin where the fires burn twice as hot and if you show up you will never leave. .if you scream there is no Echo.. .Resonance here, is what you get when your talking and your beer can is empty and the Feedback is when your wife brings you another...
