So I have a 1982 SECA that I'm getting ready to rebuild and I've been looking all over the web but not finding anything besides oversized pistons I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find aftermaket camshafts oversized valves. If not does anyone know how I could really juice up this motor ultimately I want this bike to completely embarrass most rockets

    Consider the following:

1: nobody is making performance parts for these bikes anymore (though some firms will if there is enough interest again).

2: modern bikes not only make more HP per liter, they weigh considerably less.

3: how much do you have to spend? All you need to go fast is money. Cams can be reground, custom pistons and rings can be made, etc....

If I were wanting to embarrass newer bikes I'd be looking at an engine swap from a wrecked late model bike, since that would likely be more cost effective.

with the average modern 600cc sport bike running 120 to 140 hp you have a lot of research to do.

I don't know what these yics engines are capable of so i'd be happy to hear what you find out.

Well larger pistons I'm not to concerned about I've found those up to .040 oversized more or less I'm looking for a cam and spring kit possibly larger valves to if possible. Was kinda planning to have the heads planed a couple of thousandths to boost compression ratio but in recent research people are saying that the xJ 900 Jugs and top end will bolt to the bottom end I'm just curious on that point if the throw on the 750 crank is the same for the 900

    Drill holes in the crankshaft.

Sorry I had to   ....but really most crotch rockets are also geared extremely different compared to our bikes. Are you considering any gearing options?
