Man, I have been adjusting the tang on carb 4 all day. No matter which way I bend it, the fuel level is way low. It lines up with the bottom of the carb, level with the drain nipple.

    What am I doing wrong?

Maybe the needle is sticking in the seat. Leave it out and see what happens.

Not sticking. I've checked it with the bowl off.

The title of this thread is "bench sync frustration."

But it's another float level question; which you are already running a thread on. http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/p=3 ... tml#373516

"Bench sync" involves the basic synchronization of the carb butterflies prior to a vacuum sync, it doesn't involve float levels.

Let's continue to discuss float levels in your float level thread.
