Cool glad you stuck through the wiring, sounds like all is well with that for now. Did you get that CB750 frame at all? Will be following this with interest as you don't see many XJ trikes :)

One suggeston is to put a good dampener on front wheel they have a habit of pulling to one side with an open differential in the rear a locker is not the way to fix this tho as they will have a very hard time turning.

Good point, or maybe build/buy a set of leading link "Earles" type forks.

Steering a trike with locked diff is based on the Ouija board principle I believe, unpredictable & dangerous, the more you try to influence it's course the more miserable your outlook becomes :D lol

An adjustable limited slip would be best. Maybe one from a late model Subaru?

I thought about that, but surely an LSD would be the "worst of both worlds"? Open diff in a straight line hence pulling, limited slip in corners causing understeer.

What you'd really want would be a "limited grip" diff that was locked until a certain torque difference left to right & then allowed to slip...

I have put selectable lockers in a few trikes at the owners request only to pull them back out a month or so later one guy made it five miles turned around to have it pulled out a good damper will help more than anything. The main problem I see is caused by the crown of the road. You can never get both turning and straight line set perfect but only a happy medium of the two. Now I have only deal with auto differential in trikes. Maby try to find a can am spyider front end and adapt that? Or one of the Chinese three wheel power cart rear end?

Viscous limited slip diff. Never fully open, never locked, always splitting power evenly. Sources: Mazda MX-5, Nissan 250SX, all late model Subarus (2000 and on).

Of course.....if the trike was really narrow......wouldn't need a diff at all.
