Add the service manual in the downloads section

    i think it would be great if we could have a .pdf of the maxim service manuals in the download section, most of the other bike sites i belong to have them up and it saves alot of time answering simple questions like where is the drainplug and how much oil does my bike require. :D

    Grand idea save the copyright issues. That can get pricey quick. I'm sure we could collectively recreate the information ourselves and post it to avoid this issue. Anyone got any other thoughts?

    they have manuals for almost all of the newer bikes, it might be possible to talk to a mod on that board and have them host it :)

    i dont think yamaha is going to get too upset over it, since this site has been around for a long time and have books for the most recent model years, which is what i assume yamaha is making the real money from. at any rate it couldnt hurt to check it out. does the xjcd have the service manuals on it, if so i guess it wouldnt be legal to sell it either, i certainly think there is less risk involved putting it on the net for free than charging people for it. 8)
