Central New York Carb Clinic #6 (CNYCC#6) Under a month away

The 6th annual Central New York Carb Clinc (CNYCC#6) is now less than a month away.

There are some members here who have expressed interest in attending. So, at this time I need to request the following things, so PM me with any of the following:

1. Please confirm if you are coming
2. do you need a list of local hotels
3. do you need directions if you're a new-comer
4. is there a specific thing you need done
5. is there a specific thing you would like to learn
6. is there a specific skill or topic you're willing to discuss or do

Some other questions that have been raised:

1. Is there a cost/registration?
No. This is for the betterment of the xj community. We have to take care of ourselves, and the more we can teach and learn from each other, the better we will be able to care for our xj's. There are expenses to hosting a carb clinic, and donations are definitely appreciated and help off-set costs, but like I said....there is no cost or registration fee.

2. Is there food?
Yes, I will be supplying 'dogs, 'burgers, and soda. If you wish to bring a dish to put on the table to share, that's awesome. Nobody has ever left here hungry or thirsty that I know of............

3. Speaking of soda, are there other drinks?
Yes. Coffee and water. Alcohol can stay at home. If you wish to bring some to have at the hotel, go for it, just not here. The safety of every rider here is my concern, and when we go out for a ride on our newly freshened bikes, it's going to be with a bunch of sober and safe riders.

4. no other 'recreational' chemicals will be permitted, should go without saying, but am saying it out loud anyway.

5. Will there be a porta-john, or a tree?
Porta-john is already ordered.

6. Rain or shine?
Yup.

7. What time?
I'm gonna be up early to post up the signs along the road. I'll be on my third cup of coffee by the time someone shows up.........soon as someone arrives, we'll start. Maybe just another cup of coffee, but we'll start something.......... (BluesBass will probably beat everyone here again.....) LOL

8. Can I bring a tent?
Shouldn't be a problem........just don't snore. LOL

Hey Dave
Thanks for all that information. I'd like to attend, and there is a fair probability it will work. I will know soon. If so, I'll be there on my Magna, so it will be mostly to look and learn something useful for my Seca. I'd be glad to help also, cause I've pulled off carbs a few times.

This said, what is a porta-john? Sort of a big portable tent?

 

porta-john = portable toilet

going to try and come hopefully I will actually be able to get away from work this year.
