    Hey everyone!

Backstory: I overhauled my carbs last summer, and briefly had a stuck float issue after that, which I quickly noticed and repaired. Petcock condition is good, carb floats are all 1mm below carb body using clear tube method, valves are in spec.

When my bike warms up, a significant amount of white smoke starts to appear near the exhaust manifold. The smoke is odorless. I can't figure out what it is, or why it's there.

I suspected fuel in the crankcase because of the stuck float I experienced, but after an oil and filter change, the white smoke remains.

    Any thoughts?

Maybe... I've run it for a few minutes and it hasn't gotten much better, but I'll give it another go to see what happens. I've also noticed some "sweating" on the mufflers after shutting the bike off, which might go along with your idea.

I'd run it for a bit if you have condensation on mufflers. My bikes sit in heated shop here due east of you and I get white "smoke" out pipes for five or so miles or till they warmed up unless its water cooled or you are loosing oil I wouldn't worry about it and oil smoke is more blue than anything doesn't sound like that tho.

Go for a ride and warm it up all the way and see what happens.

I ran it for about 10 minutes in the garage, and the smoke seemed to get worse instead of better. On closer inspection, it looks like it's coming from the exhaust 4:2 collector. I haven't had a chance to go for a ride yet this season, but truth be told, the smoke is making me a little nervous to do so.

I made a video of the smoke. First I pointed towards the headlight, to show the quantity. Then I pointed down at the lower RS case cover.

Looks like your exhaust collector might be burning residual oil that has leaked onto the collector. You mentioned you just completed an oil change.

Is there a chance something is leaking onto the 4:2 collector? Is any white smoke coming out of the mufflers?

Sweating ON the mufflers seems odd.

If it is burned oil, you should be able to smell it. If it smells nothing at all, it is condensation (water) evaporating.

Take a ride with somebody following you.

    Have them observe the Exhaust.
Note color and severity of Exhaust Smoke.

It looks like something is burning off the top of the collector. If it gets worse as it warms up either the collector is burning it quicker due to increased heat or there is more material being added in or both. Oil or something else that is sitting in there.

I also have some white smoke but it comes from my crankcase vent. It tends to look like its coming up from the exhaust when hot, and stopped at a stoplight. This Normal for pod bikes? Its not terrible but its visible.

That is normal for pod bikes. You need a breather which may reduce the smoke or a way of introducing the smoke into one of your pods. I've seen pictures where this was done. I don't recall the details. I have no idea if that affects carburation.

I'd say you've got cleaner, or oil on the bottom side and it's burning off. Go for a long ride, I bet it stops.

    Edit: 1400 posts yay ;)
