I have a 1981 Xj550 Seca I took apart last year to started a partial rebuild of the bike. Long story short, I went overseas for a while and by the time i got back, alot of the details were very fuzzy. The wires on the Left side of the engine, meaning alternator, pickup coil and that wire sttached to the bottom of the engine gets routed where? It seems like it was designed to run underneath the sprocket cover but i cant make that work while staying clear of the chain. Whats the route these wires take? I know where they end up, just dont know how they make it there.

If you'll PM me with your email address, I'll send you the factory cable-routing diagrams for that bike. They do come up behind the sprocket cover.
