Does anyone know where we might find some air box boots for the '84-85 FJ600? It was also called the XJ600 in Europe.

    Part #'s 49A-14453-00-00 X2
    49A-14463-00-00 X2

Ours are still fairly supple but seem to have shrunk a bit and it makes it a bear to get them to seat on the carb throats properly.
I've already checked with Chacal and he can't help. Nothing on ebay or CL at the moment.

Ideally, I'd like some new or OEM boots. Does anyone know of a Yamaha shop that has an NOS parts stash? For example, Western Hills Honda has a TON of old Honda stuff, even if it's listed as NLA from Honda. Stuff they've accumulated from buy outs, etc.
    Is there a Yamaha equivalent?

Try boats.net I just purchased new OEM intake boots through them and theyre fantastic. Over $100 cheaper then what the yamaha dealerships wanted.

Thanks! Tried calling them tonight and got the Muzak for quite a few minutes. Will try again tomorrow.

Right, that's how they show up in the Motogrid search, too. That's why I was wondering if there was an NOS Yamaha parts stash somewhere.

Scott did you ever find a source for the air box boots? Iam trying to get my FJ600 bike back together and you are correct, it is a bear. They seem to have shrunk 1/2". I am ready to try to install them without fitting them into the boot ridge and seal them with RTV sealant
