The grips are about wore out. Anything special to pay attention to when ordering new ones?

Yea, don't order them. Go to a local place that pays local taxes and hires local people and touch and feel the grips, sit on some new bikes, spend two bucks more than online, save the shipping. Someday you might be glad that guys there.

Agreed with the above. It is cheap enough that you can help the local guy out without having to pay through the nose. Also, you might find something you like better based on feel.

If not that, i bought these off ebay and like them.

Nothing beats being able to touch and feel the grips before buying them. That said, for the price my "local guy" charges I still end up buying the type I prefer from ebay - just be sure to validate the fitment.

I have no problem helping local guys, but my local guys can be rapists. I just wonder if there is something special about dimensions or anything.

+1 on buying local.. I always try to first but local selection for metric stuff is veeerrrry limited so I do end up ordering online quite often. I do not buy anything from the local Yamaha dealer "Midamerica Motoplex". They are useless, overpriced, typically have no time for you if you're not there to finance a brand new bike.

You get what you pay for - I ordered a $9 set of grips from ebay last year that looked cool online but they were absolute shite. They even smelled bad.

I ended up buying a set of these from a small local shop for like $20:
