I still have the maxim x But got the chance to get a kawasaki ltd 1100 very nice bike needs to be painted just because 1 of the side cover flew off and was replaced with 1 the wrong color. Everything works $1100 I have driven several of them before owned a 1000j for a few years they are so much nicer to ride around because all the torque compared to the no low end maxim x yamaha. Put a set of lower bars and a header for the sound and drive the wheels off it. Bike has 17k miles vs 32k on the x. If i get it i have no plans on getting rid of the x. Maintenance is a pain on the x compared to the kawi. water pumps and cooling system 20 valves vs 8 to adjust hate pulling cams to adjust valves keep the miles down by only running it a few times a month. Till i get my new garage i can only get 1 bike out without moving cars and things to get the rest out.

Hmmm....well that's no toy! If I remember correctly from the last time I rode the big Kaw, it is ridiculously powerful and required a fair amount of weight or strength to push through the twisties. You are totally right about the difficulty of maint versus the X, but I also remember those LTD's had lots of little (but easy to fix) things going wrong with them....I wouldn't give more than $900 since it needs a minor facelift, and would trim the fat from it once I had it. No pics? What year?
