Rectifier

    I have a 1981 xj650 I have new batter when start it seem it doesn't charge some people say to check my rectifier regulator is that I should go about to fix

    Check the brushes on the generator, first, look for the wear lines.

    Thx I just change the rectifier now work but now when I rub the throttle the engine die but if I leave the choke on and rub it doesn't where should I go from there to fix

    sounds like a carb problem, check and adjust your floats

    Do a basic "Charging Test"

    In short; you should see between +14.2 -to- +14.5 VDC at the Battery when the Plant is approaching 2,000 rpm's and above.

    Do u know any good website to see how carb get clean I have the book all it show is how to remove
