Will Seca hard bags fit a regular XJ750?

Not without changing the mounting brackets.

True, but the 750M is the Midnight Maxim. Different frames.

My frame is just like the XJ650s that I had years ago. I got a front windshield off of a XJ550 and it is made for round handlebars. It is giving me fits too. Is there a wag to convert my 750 two piece handlebars to a once piece?

I need help with this and asap if possible so I can pay the man. The windscreen that I have is cut for a round headlight. My XJ750 has a square hedlight and this seems to be a proble.. also it fastens up top to the handlebars, but is made to fasten on a tubed one piece handlbar. Is there a way to convert to a one piece? If so where can I get it. Has anybody fit around headlight screen to a square hheadlight bike? Feedback desired as I am stuck with these parts after tomorrow.

I don't have a Midnight Maxim so it must be a regular 750.

It really helps if we all know exactly what bike you have so that you're given the correct information. Sounds to me like you have a 1982 XJ750J Maxim (square headlight, two-piece square handlebars). If this is indeed what you have, put it in your signature so that everyone will know what bike your asking about.
As far as your question about changing the handlebars, there are a few options I've read about...either change the triple tree or mount some risers on the existing one. There are several threads pertaining to this. Here's one... http://www.xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/p=317337.html

To the best of my current knowledge, there's no such thing as an XJ750MC.

    It's either going to be a 1982 xj750(J) Maxim, 1982 xj750(RJ) Seca, but if it's a true M, then its a 1983 xj750MK Midnight Maxim.

Unless, you have some oddball that the rest of the xj world has no clue about..........................

Here in the USA, there are two types of '82 xj750's...........

    the xj750 Maxim - a standard cruiser
    and
the xj750 Seca - a cruiser with a sportier look

In Europe, I believe the seca is the 'standard' model and Maxim is the 'different' one. So, to THEM an xj750 is what we call the Seca. Correct me if I'm mistaken on that.

The M should denote a Midnight Maxim. However, as far as I know, the xj750 Midnight Maxim was only for 1983. So, if you're serial number search is telling you 750M, but the rest of the bike isn't, something's fishy. If you have a Midnight Maxim, it should be xj750MK, for 1983. If the data sticker says */82, it should be later on in '82 and would be considered a 1983 model anyway.

Show us some pics of the bike and the gauges, or give us a link to the pics, and we'll tell you what you really have.

Are you reading that from the title? I've seen titles that have MC after the model number to denote motorcycle, even though there is separate place on the title to denote that.

How can I load pics? I have tried and it is not working.

Yes I was reading MC off of the title.

    I checked again and it is a XJ750 J-B

Use a free image hosting site ( http://photobucket.com works well, but there are others). Upload your pictures to that, then copy and paste the link using the Image button in the post editor for this board.

Linking your photos from another site saves on storage costs for this site.

If it says "MC" on the title, then it was probably under the section of "MODEL", or "BODY TYPE" (etc....depending on what your state has on the titles).

In that case , it's simply referring to "MotorCycle"......as many titles do.......

    XJ750J = 1982 XJ750 Maxim

    Now we know.

Don't know what the "B" stands for..........................

Pilot, the cost to ship is more than the cost of the bags, brackets, etc. That's why I posted local p/up only.Check similar items on E/bay shipping cost.
