Headlight

    Anybody know how to fix headlight I check the fuse (fuse relay)underneath the gas tank any suggest and do I have to start the engine to turn on the light?

    That depends on which XJ you have.

    A lot of XJs have relay-operated headlights that won't come on until the engine is running. With those models, the headlight will come on after the engine has been started; but if you stall it the light will stay on until the ignition is switched off.

    So which bike is it?

    I have 1981 xj650 the headlight relay is good there no light when I start the bike how do I test do I need the bike to b running to go check all the wire
