I have ordered one of these for the rear of my 86 Max. Noone has posted reviews of this tire so I thought I'd give them the Flame test. The Michellin Comander was an awesome tire. I have over 12,000 miles on it. It has officially passed the Flame test.

I will post first impressions once I have the shark mounted.

You normally burn one rear tire before you need a front, and since that is the cycle I happen to be in I only needed one. I ride a lot of miles year round here in sunny Florida, so You will get a reasonably good review of this tire. I do ride in the rain also, so you'll even get my thoughts on that aspect of the tire. As far as testicles go, maybe your seat needs just a bit more padding.

First impressions, Nice tread pattern, sticky compound. Very easy to mount on rim, bead seated at 90 psi. Rode a poker run today with the wife and noticed the ride quality was well above even my Michellin Comander even two up on the bike. Scrubbing it in before the run, I took it out solo and through the twisties, no bad surprises. took everything the Max had to give and held grip better than either my Dunlop or Michellin. I took it all the way out to the edge of the tread and it stuck!!! For $58.00 including shipping, I'll definitely be getting another when the front wears out.

I bought it from americanmototire.com . they have all the usual brands also, bit this one was such a good price I had to give it a try. I ride alot so I wear out a lot of tires rather quickly so a good tire at a good price does impress me greatly.

I had the bike in the rain on my way to work, The tire performed as flawlessly as any other tire I've had on the bike. No slippage except at full throttle from a dead stop. It had not rained here for quite a while so there was also a slick build up of oil on the street. No scary moments at all, unlike the hard compound Dunlop that was on the bike when I got it. I went under the Manufaturers psi of 40 and settled for 39 for now. I may go down to the qwners manual specs but no lower.

I really love this tire, can'y wait to get another up front. Very grippy compound. this tire woke up the bike. For the price I paid for this tire I will get more smiles for the miles than any other tire ever.

OK, Like Danilo says they should be like testicles, But it took so long to wear out my Dunlop 491 I had to wait to put them both on. Now that I have got that out of the way, I am still sticking by my guns on this tire, Nice profile, sporty tread pattern, and all the grip you could ask for at the right PSI. Went with the owners manual pressures and it is as perfect as it can be on a twenty someting bike. The rubber on the old 491 was hard and well worn but to it's credit it outlasted 3 rear tires before it was worn and starting to dry rot. And as soon as It rains I will again post the results(We are hoping for rain here in the Florida desert).
