Do you have the brake reservoir with 90 degree mirror perch?

My Maxim has the perch that sits at an angle and since I have straight bars the mirror stems are too short to see past my shoulders. This is what I have and need to rectify: http://xjbikes.com/coppermine/displayim ... pos=3.html

I have the brake reservoir, although its the stock one that fits in right behind the headlight. I don't know if thats what you are looking for. as far as the brake switch. If you could take a picture to show me where its at i could take it off and take a picture of it for you.

    Thanx,
    Corey

Snosherrif - I did the same mod and have the same problem with the mirrors. I do have a set of SECA controls and never did get around to installing them... that would fix the problem then?

<-- big doodie head for not using the rest of the parts he had.

( WOW - what a nice job you did on your 750 Sno )

That's my guess, but it makes sense to me as the mirror perch would be perpendicular to the handlebars and mirrors would hopefully allow me to see past my shoulders.

You have a set from Seca? Would you mind posting few pics? What year was the Seca? This way I know what to look for... Let me know how it works once you install them.

I'm almost certain they were from a seca 750 - I'll dig through my really old emails to find out.

What happened was I asked for a set of bars and someone offered a set of bars with controls and some of the cables. I brought the lot as it was a good deal. When I put the bar on my bike I didn't want to get involved with the brake line at the time so I just rerouted it without disconnecting it and used the maxim controls.

Pictures tonight. I'm digging out the control to remind myself.

    Cheers,
    woot.

I looked at the controls - the mirror mounts are clearly flat, as opposed to the angled mounting position of the maxim controls. When I post the side by side pictures you'll immediately see the difference.

The Maxim has a little bit of a riser on the outside edge of the mounting hole. This tips the mirror in to compensate for the drop in the buckhorn bars )... the Seca on the other hand doesn't have this extra bump on the outside edge, and is flat.

I really should have looked more closely when I did the swap. I've been cursing my mirrors for nearly 4 years!

I need the brake lever, rear grab bar, that handle that helps you prop the bike on the center stand, and a right side cover.

What do you have for me?

Hey, would you happen to have a Starter?
Also does anyone know if it would fit a '82 xj550?

    Thanks,

Would the engine YICS right side cover fit a 650 turbo engine? IF yes let me know what you want for it. Is it black?
