    Hi Everyone
Finally got the XJ750 back after getting assorted issues fixed inclduing a corroded head stub that created an oil leak, new brake master cylinder and so on. BUT she is now on the road ready for fun (after fixing a rather high idle speed).

First impressions - comfy, good torque, gets along well for her age. The bike has aftermarket bars mounted whcih feel a bit too wide for the bike so that will need to change. And seems to be a tad thristy or that could be my riding.

The dash is annoying with the warning light coming on for assorted false issues particularlythe brake light and the battery warning light. The light works and battery seems fine so I'll check the connections to ensure they are clean.

Yes the bars do add that motard look.......

I have the originals on the shelf but they need rechroming.

Not bad for $800 I say (excluding the $1800 it then cost to get it back to a relliable state). That would be about 10 quid for you UK types.....

The seat needs recovering at some stage. The Vin number is 701 so she is an early beast. I have also worked out that it is a UK import as the yellow fog light is not legal in Australia but also unecessary for Australian road use (in fact I am not even sure whether it's connected at the moment).
