video link setup maybe ?

i have a cat5 to the garage a laptop and a webcam. what would it take to setup a video link to, maybe show a carb cleaning or running sync,
in real time, with questions? one way video, two way audio, this is the 21st century.

You can conference call with Skype. I'm not sure what the limit is now, but I've been in classes where we had weekly discussions over Skype with 10 people on at a time.

I just looked; conference video calls have a limit of 25.

 

you could set up a spree cast, ive watched them before, i believe its a free program, and its a live feed video and chat room. sounds like what you are looking for. unlimited ammount of people in the chat section

spree cast, i'll look into that. Skype has a tab on their page for PRICE that's all the farther i went into that

things learned, wireless lags next time i'll go in the other garage with cat5.
webcams were made for video chat not showing sync screws down in the engine.
laptop speakers just aren't up to hearing over the sound of a motorcycle, at all.
the bike has to be ready to go, warmed up tank off and hooked up.
my webcam can't show enough detail up close for carbs
first time, can't expect Steven Spielberg i guess

You could try a USB webcam, some are pretty small, good quality and you can get in there a bit cloer with them

 

Makes perfect sense......very mobile with extension cables and a high quality USB webcam
