So, I've still got no spark. I have a good strong battery, a "new" wiring harness from flea-bay, good solenoid, motor cranks but no spark at the plugs. Could it be a safety sensor that needs to be bypassed/shorted? I have a lot of respect for the engineers who put this bike together, which is why I'm trying to return the drive-train at least to original condition, but I'd rather be responsible for my own safety rather than depend on thirty two year old electronics. I'm aware of the kickstand sensor, what other sensors are there? How do they affect the bike? How do I bypass them? Where can I learn more? Thanks all! :D

You are looking for the black/white wire from side-stand relay to the TCI

From the How To: Ignition Troubleshooting:

If the bike has a Black/White wire to the TCI, with the ignition on, but not cranking, set the meter to Ohms and check resistance from the Black/White terminal to ground. It should be 1000 Ohms or more. This terminal is grounded by the safety circuit when the side stand is down and the bike is not in Neutral and the clutch is not pulled in, in order to disable the ignition to keep you from driving with the stand down. The Black/White wire has a bullet connector near the TCI. If a low resistance is found here, you can verify that this is what's disabling ignition by disconnecting the bullet connector and trying to crank again. This should only be a troubleshooting step and not a final fix.

Thanks! that's what I was looking for.
Is that the only sensor to worry about on an 81 seca 750? Does anyone know? :?
